Teeth grinding is a common symptom of stress. The tension that is dammed up by daily stress, the daily requirements, and – in particular – the daily feeling overwhelmed, means that the body is under pressure even at night. The nocturnal stress often manifests itself in a sustainable, enduring and very unhealthy teeth grinding.
The chewing muscles are disturbed by the constant tension. The nocturnal teeth grinding may accordingly have far-reaching consequences.
